This lesson will teach you how to add Standard Feedback. Standard Feedback are preset comments that can be attached to Tags in the Tag Manager. When you are commenting on an Event that has a Tag with Standard Feedback attached to it you can quickly insert that feedback into the comments for the event.
First, we will show you an example of using Standard Feedback.
NOTE: This example shows you how you would use Standard Feedback when reviewing a project. A couple of things to remember:
1. Standard Feedback is not available in Student versions of MediaNotes.
2. You must configure Standard Feedback before you import a Tag Set file into a project.
In insert Standard Feedback, select an Event that has a tag which has feedback items attached to it. In this example, the tag "Preliminary Matters Frame" has standard feedback attached to it.
Select Insert Comment from the Edit menu.
A screen will appear with all of the feedback that is attached to tags that are assigned to the selected event. Letters will appear to the left. You can insert the comment using either of the following methods:
1. Type the shortcut letter on your keyboard.
2. Click on the feedback item.
Here you can see that the feedback has been inserted.
Now, that you can see how Standard Feedback can be used we will show you how to attach Standard Feedback to Tags.
Select the Standard Feedback palette icon or select Standard Feedback from the Tools menu.
Select Add Standard Feedback.
Enter the text for your feedback.
Once you have finished, select OK.
Here you can see that the feedback item has been added.
To attach the feedback to a tag, drag it from the Feedback Palette into the Standard Feedback field. You can attach the same feedback item to multiple tags.
NOTE: In order to use the feedback item you must export the Tag Set file from the Tag Manager and Import it into the project file you are using.
