Creating Tag Set Groups

Introduction

Groups can contain multiple Tag Sets. When you export a Group all of the Tag Sets in that Group will be contained in the resulting Tag Set File. When this file is imported into a Project, all of the Tag Sets will be imported as well.

This lesson will teach you how to create a Group and add Tag Sets to it.

Create a Group

In the Tag Manager, select Create Group.

Name Group

Add a name and select OK.

Here you can see that the Group has been added.

Add Tag Sets

Select Create Tag Set.

Name Tag Set

Add a name and select OK.

Here you can see the Tag Set has been added.

Add Additional Tag Sets

Repeat the above process to add additional Tag Sets. Once you have completed this step, add Tags to your Tag Sets.

Export Group

Right click on the Group and select Export to Tag Set File.

Name the file and save it in a location where you will be able to find it.

Open a MediaNotes Project

Open a MediaNotes project file.

Select Import Tag Set File

Select Import Tag Set File from the Tags menu.

The Tags palette will come to the front with the first Tag Set of the Group selected.

Click on the Tag Set menu to select the other Tag Sets in the project. Here you can see that both "Tag Set 1" and "Tag Set 2" were imported into the project file.
