Playback Controls

The playback controls are as follows:

1. Playback mode
2. Rewind to beginning
3. Rewind
4. Play/pause
5. Fast forward
6. Create Event at Playhead
7. Set Event Startpoint
8. Set Event Endpoint
9. Go to Previous Event
10. Go to Next Event


Playback Mode: Default

The playback mode is toggled by clicking the Playback mode icon. Three modes are possible:

1. Default
2. Synch Events
3 Loop Events

This example shows the default playback mode. In this mode the time line, Timeline List and Event edit windows are not connected. As the media plays events are not automatically loaded into the Timeline List and Event Edit area.


Playback Mode: Synch Events

When Synch Events mode is selected (complete chain link) events will automatically be loaded in the Event Edit area and Timeline List as the media plays.

In this example notice that the playhead is over the event "My First Event" (1). The "My First Event" event has been loaded into the Event Edit area (2) and the Timeline List (3).


In this image the playhead has moved over the "Background Question" event (1). Notice that it has been loaded into the Event Edit area (2) and the Timeline List (3).


Playback Mode: Loop Event

The Loop Event mode will continuously loop the selected event.


Adjust Event Startpoint

You can use the Set Event Startpoint and Endpoint buttons to quickly adjust the length of an event.

Position the playhead where you would like the event to begin.


Click the Set Event Startpoint button. The event startpoint will jump to the location of the playhead.


Adjust Event Endpoint

Do the same for the endpoint. Position the playhead where you would like the event to end.


Select Set Event Endpoint. The enpoint will be adjusted.


Jumping to Events

Use the Go To Next and Previous Event buttons to jump right to the startpoint of events.
