What do I need to use MediaNotes?

Required Equipment

  • Video or audio capture device. This can be any type of webcam or audio recorder that can store video/audio in a format readable by QuickTime or Windows Media.
  • Video/audio capture software.

Computer Requirements

  • Windows XP/Vista: 512MB of RAM. Pentium 4 or faster.
  • Mac OS 10.3.9 or higher: 512MB of RAM. G4 processor or faster.
  • QuickTime 6 or higher.

Can I use MediaNotes to capture video or audio?

No, you must capture your video or audio file using another application such as Windows Movie Maker or iMovie and then import that file into MediaNotes. MediaNotes can import most Windows Media or QuickTime files.

What happens if I get to the end of the 30-day trial and decide not to purchase MediaNotes?

Once the trial expires, MediaNotes will revert to a free viewer mode. Whether you purchase MediaNotes or not you will always be able to view files annotated in MediaNotes in the free viewer. Files opened in the free viewer cannot be edited but you can see all tags, events and comments.
